Hey all you pasta lovers, I am back with one of my most delicious, quick and everyone’s favorite Pesto Pasta Recipes!

  • 100 gms Spinach, Blanched
  • 3 tbsp of all purpose flour ( You Can even use wheat flour)
  • 1 Cup boiled Macroni (Any Pasta Of Your Choice)
  • 1 Cup of Milk
  • 1 Chopped Capsicum
  • 3 tbsp Salted Butter
  • 2 Cubes of Cheese
  • 1 cup Boiled Corn
  • 1 tsp Oregano
  • 1 tsp chilly flakes
  • 2 tsp chopped garlic & chilles
  • 1 tsp Pepper
  • 1 tsp Salt

There is a story behind this recipe that i am going to share with you since this i love to make you all a part of my life experiences and facts. So this recipe here is my Mom’s innovation to feed us spinach (very essential as it is known for its health benefits) shadowed in pasta and white sauce which make a great blend and taste so delicious that the taste of spinach is barely noticeable! This recipe is extremely good if you plan to make it for your kids, in case you find it difficult to feed them the greens. This is the recipe for you!! Now here is something about spinach, it is highly rich in vitamins A , C & K along with iron. Eating green leafy veggies benefits in a lot of ways. Consuming green vegetables in any form is essential for the body to maintain fitness. Bottom line this is rich in dairy but also full of nutrients and that makes it one of the most guilt free eating dishes out there.

Preparation Time: 50 mins

Serves: 4


This recipe is divided into two easy steps:

Step 1:

Blanch\Boil your spinach leaves for 5 mins in a deep pan and then rinse with cold water so retain its color. once done blend it to a smooth paste and keep it aside. We shall be adding this to the sauce preparation later. Boil your pasta with 1 tsp of oil and a pinch of salt to prevent it from sticking together. Let the pasta boil until it is 90 % cooked. Drain the excess water and keep pasta aside.

Step 2:

In a wok, heat 4 tbsp of butter and 1 tsp of olive oil and throw in chopped garlic, 1 green chilly finely chopped and let it roast well. Then add in 3 tbsp of all purpose flour  and cook on low flame for 2 mins until you get a roasted smell. Now add in a cup of milk and if required add in water, keep stirring well to avoid any lumps and until it forms a smooth and thick batter. Grade in a cube of cheese along with the bell peppers and corn and keep stirring. Also add in your seasonings salt , pepper , oregano and chilly flakes.

Now is my favorite part!! Add in the blanched spinach mixture and devour the mint green color that your sauce turns into. It already smells delicious I know but wait the amazing part comes in, now we add in our boiled pasta and give it a good mix! Yum!

You can either relish the pasta by serving it into a bowl and garnish with some grated cheese OR go on and make it more interesting by baking the dish for 5 mins layering it with lots of cheese that turns really crusty and fun to eat!
